COS’E’ ARAGO DESIGN?
Arago Design è il marchio che identifica i frutti dell’attività di ricerca e sperimentazione dell’ Officina delle Invenzioni.
Tale ricerca si fonda sulla coesistenza di due spazi operativi generalmente percepiti come antitetici.
Lo studio di progettazione e l’officina artigianale.
La simbiosi che si instaura tra questi due mondi è la chiave che determina risultati originali sotto l’aspetto tecnico e concettuale.

WHAT IS ARAGO DESIGN?
Arago Design is the brand which identify the benefits of research and experimentation made by L’Officina delle Invenzioni ( The Workshop of Inventions).
Such research is founded on the co-existence of two different operating places, generally conceived as antithetical.
The design studio and the craft workshop.
The symbiosis that becomes established between these two worlds is the key that sets solutions which are original on the technical side as on the conceptual one.

I DESIGNER
Elisabetta Di Bucchianico (Pescara 1975) e Dario Oggiano (Roma 1975) si laureano nel 2003 in Disegno Industriale presso la Facoltà di Design e Arti dello IUAV di Venezia. Nel 2004 fondano l’Officina delle Invenzioni.
Dal 2005 svolgono attività didattica presso il Corso di Laurea in Disegno Industriale dell’Università degli Studi della Repubblica di San Marino, Università IUAV di Venezia dove, nel 2009 e nel 2010, Dario è stato anche collaboratore di Marco Ferreri.

THE DESIGNERS
Elisabetta Di Bucchianico (Pescara 1975) and Dario Oggiano (Roma 1975) graduated in 2003 in Industrial Design at the degree course of Design and Arts, IUAV University of Venice.In 2004 they founded L’Officina delle Invenzioni ( The Workshop of Inventions).
Since 2005 they have been carrying out teaching activities for the degree course of Industrial Design at the University of the Republic of San Marino – IUAV University of Venice where in 2009 and 2010 Dario has been also Marco Ferreri’s assistant.

3 AREE CONCETTUALI (le linee di produzione)
La produzione A.D. non si fonda su una suddivisione in categorie merceologiche, bensì su un’organizzazione in tre ambiti concettuali:

PROTAGONISTI, oggetti che raccontano storie di passati probabili e futuri possibili.

TECNICA COME PRODOTTO, un processo progettuale invertito, un tributo a Bruno Munari.

LA TERZA STRADA, il percorso che porta all’inimmaginabile.

3 CONCEPTUAL AREAS
The Arago Design production is not divided in product categories, but it is organized in three conceptual areas:

PROTAGONISTI (Protagonists), objects that tell stories about probable pasts and possible futures.

TECNICA COME PRODOTTO (Technique as a product), a reversed design process, a tribute to Bruno Munari

LA TERZA STRADA (The third way), the route that leads to unimaginable.
